- We packed up our life into a couple of boxes and stacked them on the dining table as we waited for news on the floods. We were the lucky ones.
- We took a much enjoyed family trip to Noosa. Hoping this coming January might reveal another little getaway for our family.
- It felt like I was keeping the secret forever, but in February I finally revealed our little secret on the blog.
- I sold a lot of my scrapbooking goods at a local scrapbook garage sale. It felt good to move some things I wasn't using.
- My heart was hurting for a country I love.
- Still living in the Christmas aftermath, Brian and I did a LOT of shopping.
APRIL
- I was addicted to a particular TV show.
- I focused a lot on Easter gift buying!
- My little boy became a big boy with a new bed (and room) and we ditched nappies during the daytime.
- I was SERIOUSLY craving hearty nutritious food!
- 3 weeks early our family became 4, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
- I fell in love with the Ektorp armchair! It's worth it's weight in gold.
- Kevin didn't change his leave from work so we enjoyed having him home this month.
- We took a trip to Victoria to introduce Simon to the family and we yet again found that our family LOVES overnight stays in motels. We have a "dancing to the opening credits of MasterChef" video from that room. It's pretty nuts and so very us!
- We made cupcakes.
- My Mum retired, yay Nanny!
- We had an awesome Thomas birthday party - yet to be posted about!
AUGUST
- After two babies of my very own, I finally attended my first ever baby shower and won a little too much chocolate.
- Brian really started to impress me with his drawings.
SEPTEMBER
- We attended a Yo Gabba Gabba concert at a local shopping centre. My shy boy struggled but loved it, in the end. Thank goodness for Nanny!
- Someone turned 3 months old.
- My little brother became a Dad. So proud to have Natalie and Samuel in our family now.
- I realised just how special a screaming photo of my son was.
NOVEMBER
- We attended Brian's kindy orientation. I was so excited for him to go, but as I write this I'm finding the last 23 days I have left at home with my little man are going WAY too quickly.
- I did my best to be prepared for December.
- My better half had his last exam EVER!
- I began the mammoth task of clearing the clutter out of our home, organising and tidying. It feels good, but there is a long way to go.
- I learnt that as you age, birthdays (your own) get much less exciting, not due to the people around you but due to the AGING factor! I was so busy and not particularly excited that I didn't even know what day of the week my birthday fell on.
- I was so very busy. Already planning my attack on Christmas for 2012.
- Simon had his first visit to the city.
- I relived the joy of the Rocklea Markets on a rainy Christmas Eve morning.
- We had a lovely Christmas. As much as I love the season it's so much about the kids and their excitement now. 3 year olds and Christmas are just meant to be.
Hope it was a good year for you too! Best wishes for 2012 and thanks for sharing this year with me.
