"Let It Go, Let It Go .."

Last night the kids and I watched Frozen for the very first time. We sometimes have a family movie night on Saturday, but we moved it forward one night and added pizza, as a reward for them coming to an evening meeting with me and being the absolute best behaved, even when it ended WAY past their bedtime.

It's so fun to see how the kids react to different movies. Simon relates to a character and chooses his most favourite straight up. This time round his favourite and mine were the same and he really enjoyed the love story. His expressions during those moments were the cutest. Particularly as this is "a girls movie" and you know how bad girl stuff is, right?! Brian enjoys the comedy, and in this case the music. Every time I am amazed at how much they recall, maybe more so, how much more than me they recall!

We have been to the movies a couple of times lately, to see Minions and Inside Out. We had reasons to go and see both, which I love. It was nice (and interesting) to see Minions, (that we knew was going to result in the same merchandising explosion as Frozen), before most people. Being ahead of the game (or completely suckered in) was fun. And now it's nice to know the names of those two sisters, that reindeer and the snowman. And to know the story. Stories are totally my thing.
