A Wedding Card

Just in case you are wondering I am still crafting.  Not as often as I'd like, but yes I'm getting in a little me time.  I made this card for a wedding that Kevin and I attended at the end of October.  It was such a beautiful day, every detail had meaning.  There were many happy tears (maybe it was the "new baby" hormones or just maybe I'm now officially a wedding crier).

My vision for the card was quite a bit different than the finished product but the idea was the same.  A lot of little red embellishments to create a heart shape, without the actual outline of a heart being drawn.   I'm learning lately through playing with layers and using more embellishments just how small those elements need to be.  Something I need to keep in mind when making new purchases and clearing out my stash for an upcoming scrapbooking garage sale.

  2. I haven't done much paper craft lately either since Christmas but I will need to get motivated since the little one is having a birthday soon. Your card turned out really lovely Brooke. The heart idea in the red is wonderful for a wedding or even for a Valentine card too. x
