Introducing...

Yes, my 4 year old has changed his name.  Pronounced Brian M for all those not in the know.

The story cut short...

Since starting school he is obsessed with being a teacher.  The 'm' was added for Mrs, but has always been pronounced Brian m.    No amount of telling him that males are called Mr would get him to accept any adjustments.  And teaching him to write Mrs and that it goes at the beginning of the name didn't change anything either.  So much part of life is pretend play when you are 4 (nearly 5) your pretend name appears on all of your not pretend classwork.  And in official stances your Mum calls you Brianm.
