I Have No Title For This One

As I'm sure the world now knows Australia is currently experiencing the worst natural disaster in our history. The stories coming out of this are horrific. 173 lives lost, 750 homes gone, 330 000 hectares burned, towns wiped off the map. Husbands have lost their wives and their kids. Sons have lost their mothers. Parents have lost their children. The list is endless.

While we are no where near the effected areas, nor have we lost loved ones we, like everyone else, cannot believe what we are seeing.

Here is some info about the fires:

HOW TO HELP:

Donate online through the Australian Red Cross here. NO admin costs will be deducted from your donation.

If you are in Australia you can donate in a range of stores. Read what Wesfarmers (owners of Kmart, Bunnings and Coles) are doing here.

Do your grocery shop this Friday (13th) at Coles as all profits will be donated.

Buy a movie ticket at Hoyts this Sunday as $2 from every ticket sold will go to the appeal.

Check out what corporate Australia is doing to help and support them where you can.

FROM ONE EXTREME TO THE OTHER

While most media coverage is focussed on the Victorian bushfires, fellow Queenslanders are doing it tough recovering from these floods.

  1. Hey Brooke - Jer and I have been following the stories and are in disbelief! We can't believe the devastation... especially hearing that some may have been set deliberately. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those affected in the fires.
